Supported Living

Our aim is to support people into living within their own homes and leading independent and fulfilling lives. For some people this may not be possible and our residential care settings try to replicate an independent life style while living within a safe and supported environment.

For others; independence is a real possibility and we offer the opportunity to gain the tools to enable them to make this a reality.

At SWI we aim to teach people the way to care for themselves in the community, to positively integrate and to offer them the chance to build on their lifeskills knowledge.

When it is agreed that they are ready to move into a supported living environment, we aim to help them find suitable accomodation, access any relevant funds to help them and to offer practical and emotional support.

We offer a support worker to work with our client (on a needs basis) to ensure that they are doing well and that their health and daily needs are not being neglected. For clients with learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorders and other difficulties this may be the difference in them ever being able to live independently or living within a residential care provision for life.
