Asdan Awards
At Andersea Farm we support clients through the Adult Skills & Leisure Courses to evidence their abilities using ASDAN. There are many different Preparatory Programmes available and these may include:
Towards Independence, Transition Challenge and Workright
- Towards Independence and Transition Challenge have been developed for learners with sever, complex, profound or multiple learning difficulties.
- Workright is suitable for learners with moderate and severe learning difficulties
Using a variety of methods to evidence our clients skills and abiltiies, these workpacks will gain each client an official ASDAN Certificate. These are then incorporated into a Personal Portfolio and will help to build self confidence and promote and encourage the further learning process.
New Horizons
This is an activity based resource that has been written to support delivery of PSHE, Citizenship and Careers Education for learners at Key stage 3, working between P Levels 1-8 (below National Curriculem Level 1). The areas that it covers are:
- PERSONAL
- SOCIAL
- HEALTH
- CITIZENSHIP
- RELATIONSHIPS
Again this work pack uses a wide variety of methods to evidence a clients abilties and communication skills and is ASDAN Certificated for a Personal Portfolio.
Certificate in Life Skills
This is a formal qualification and is an Approved Entry Level Qualification.
The qualification embraces the development of personal, social, health, moral, citizenship, independence and ICT skills, and skills which prepare the learner for working life.
This qualification is aimed at Pre- and Post 16. It is suitable for learners who will attain few and/or low grade GCSE's, learners with behavioural difficulties and learners with moderate learning difficulties.

We will also support clients that are enrolled in local colleges to evidence their acheivements for NVQ and other vocational training. |
